Alvin Walter Makundi is a young Tanzanian living with his parents in Singapore.
He is now at the age of 14 years and a student of Form II in Singapore, already has been listed his name to the list of professionals application in one of the large global firms to make cellular phone NOKIA especially Nokia Lumia 920.
He developed that application and he sends in the company to be used freely which it would treacherously with the approval of his mother.
While the Tanzania government is insisting on science and technology with all of its efforts as to give students full sponsorship who are taking science subjects and courses.
Also in this contemporary of the world of digital and globalization where the scientist needed to develop application and different automatons from manual work to computerized work.
President Jakaya Mrisho Kikwete also was greeted by Mr. Walter P.
Groups, who is a Chairman of the Community of Tanzanians living in Singapore
the day he met and talk to them.
Mr. Makundi, who is a father of Alvin and is the project manager of the construction agency
known as APCO PTE LTD in Singapore, On his right is a his wife, Mama Alvin
This is a challenge to the Tanzanians students and parents
in general to focus their children on ICT technology while they are still young
in order to have good foundation when they grow up….
We and who are stakeholders of ICT in Tanzania need to ask themselves
what remarkable things they did to the society using their ICT carrier as Alvin
only 14 years of age did?
All in all we as Tanzanians are proud of what Alvin did and
shows that Tanzanians can do something if they are supported the government and
surrounding society in general…..
